I was born and raised in Spokane. We lived for a time in the Seattle & Portland area, but I missed Spokane and we moved back home. I love the beauty and the four seasons here in Spokane. There is always something to do in the area. I have always liked helping people and the medical field is a great place to do that. I previously worked for Internal Medicine Residency/Spokane Teaching Health Clinic as a scheduler. I like hiking, biking, swimming and hanging out with my husband, our two sons and our friends. I was raised to have faith, work hard and treat everyone with kindness and that’s what I try to do every day.
I am a Spokane local and love supporting our local restaurants. I have been working with Providence for five years and have been lucky to work with the Psychiatry Residency since Aug 2020. Education is very important to me as I have received my Business Management and Accounting Degree in 2016 and continue to further my education. I will obtain a BA in Psychology in 2024 and pursue a MS in Marriage and Family Counseling. Outside of work, I am by the water, at the gym, reading or painting and gardening with my daughter. I strive to live my life through experiences over possessions.
I was born and raised in Spokane. I live in Spokane Valley with my husband of 26 years. I have 2 daughters who are both grown and bring me great joy. I have been working in the medical field for 15 years and had previously been at Providence Internal Medicine for the past 8 years. I am very excited to be working at Psychiatry Residency to further my career. In my free time I love to travel, spend time at the lake, read, play with my cat, and hang out with my husband and girls.
Born and raised in Spokane. Started working in childcare when I was 16.
After graduating high school, I went onto cosmetology school, but was
called back into childcare. Did some classes in child development and
worked in the field on and off for four years. Went back to school one
last time for my Phlebotomy license and could not find a career in that
field. So, third time is the charm went back into childcare for three
years thinking I would retire from there because it felt like home, but
I got the opportunity to start with providence to be a Patient care coordinator.
In my free time I enjoy DIY projects and road trips.
I have been working for Spokane Teaching Health Clinic since November 2018.
I enjoy walking my German Shephard Diesel, riding my E-bike, and spending
time with my husband Vern of 28 years. Both of my children live in Bozeman
Montana because they are avid skiers. My hobbies include jigsaw puzzles
and painting.
I was born and raised in Spokane Washington. I went to Carrington College to obtain my Certificated Medical Assisting License. I previously volunteered at the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery, through this and the fact that my father who was diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar. I found my calling to want to help people. Joining the Psych department was one of the ways I found that has an impact on people’s lives. Outside of work I love to hang out with my D&D (Dungeons and Dragons) crew every Sunday, readying, playing video games and travel as much as I can.
I started working with Providence as a patient care coordinator in 2017. I got the opportunity to join the Medical Assistant Apprentice program in 2022 and graduated in Fall of 2023. I have always had an interest in psychology, so working here has been such a great learning experience. I am excited to learn more about psychiatry to see what my next steps towards my career would be. During my off time, I like riding four wheelers as much as I can, watching football and hockey, spending time outdoors doing just about anything, and watching scary movies!
I was born and raised in Spokane. As an adult I’ve lived all over Washington, but I returned to Spokane several years ago to be closer to my extended family. My parents have always been involved in their community and raised me with a strong sense of social justice. During my time as an undergraduate at the University of Washington I began volunteering at an overnight shelter program for youth who were homeless. I enjoyed working with that population and this led me to pursue a degree in social work. I then went on to get my Master’s of Social Work at Eastern Washington University. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in many different settings including community mental health and medical social work. I was drawn to the Care Manager role in the Psychiatry Residency program because it gave me a chance to combine my love of therapy with my enjoyment of working in an interdisciplinary team. I love working with a team that has such a passion for providing quality care to patients! I’ve benefited so much from the learning environment here and each year I feel even further equipped to walk alongside my patients. Outside of work I enjoy long walks, good coffee and time with friends. Getting a chance to raise my three sons in the city I grew up in has been special. I love getting to share experiences with them from my own childhood such as going to Green Bluff in the fall or attending the Lilac Parade in the spring.
I was born in Spokane, WA to a family that loved children. I was fortunate to see other areas of the state through small town living as a youth with my siblings. I decided to become a clinical social worker later in life after experiencing medical complications with various family members. I completed 3 years of practicum with a local non-profit organization working extensively with those experiencing/having experienced homelessness. I have worked in outpatient mental health as a mental health clinician. I love Washington State and the beauty of nature that comes with it. I enjoy exploring the outdoors with my 4-legged buddies and family/friends. My intern experiences created a spark for Collaborative Care, and I am excited to be part of such an amazing program at Spokane Teaching Health Clinic where my clinical skills will be utilized.
I spent most of my childhood in Spokane before moving away. It was only when my own children were elementary aged that I realized Spokane was my ideal place to raise them, much to the delight of family and friends who still live here. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in 2008 from Portland State University. Post-graduation I spent several years as an editor in independent book publishing before committing myself to raising my two boys as a stay-at-home mom for ten wonderful years. Applying for graduate school after being at home for so long felt like a leap of faith, but I knew that as my children got older, I wanted them to be raised in an environment that focused on social justice and acts of service. I've always believed that the most effective way to teach my values to my children is to model them, and I can think of no more powerful way than for them to see me dedicate my life's work to advocating for others. In 2021 I graduated from Eastern Washington University with my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. During my social work training at EWU, I had the privilege of completing my MSW practicum at the STHC. The learning and practice opportunities I experienced and observed during my practicum solidified for me that the STHC is a clinic environment that mirrors my own values of lifetime-learning and improving evidence-based clinic practice by ensuring patients receive the highest level of ethically, culturally competent, and trauma informed care available through CoCM. I consider clinical social work, with its opportunity to hold space for patients, to be an incredible honor, and something that I feel called to do. I am very excited to continue this work at the STHC and to be a part of such a passionate and committed interdisciplinarian team.
