Will grew up in Connecticut before moving to upstate New York to attend Skidmore College, where he majored in Biochemistry, was a member of the rowing team, and spent countless hours in the pottery studio. In between college and medical school, he worked for a few years as an Anesthesia Technician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, where he decided he wanted to become an anesthesiologist and attend medical school. He then moved cross country to Los Angeles to receive his M.D. from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. In his free time, Will likes to spend his time outdoors mountain biking, trail running, skiing, hiking, climbing and pretty much any other activity that gets him out in nature. He also has continued his passion for pottery since college and plans to join a ceramics studio here in Spokane. He looks forward to exploring the PNW this year, embracing winter sports by getting into cross-country and back-country skiing, and experiencing all four seasons before returning back to California to complete his Anesthesiology training at UCSF.

Nicholas is originally from the western suburbs of Minneapolis, MN. He left Minnesota to study Neuroscience at the University of Notre Dame, prior to completing medical school at the University of Minnesota, where he spent his first 2 years in a rural training program in Duluth, MN. He also completed a year-long research fellowship at the Park Nicollet Contact Dermatitis Clinic. He is an avid outdoorsman, spending as much time as possible hiking, biking, skiing, or camping. He is also a huge fan of science fiction and can quote most lines from any piece of Star Wars media on the big or small screen. He is looking forward to experiencing all the PNW has to offer during his intern year before returning home to Minnesota next year to complete a residency in Dermatology at HealthPartners Institute.

Aman is originally from Renton, just outside of Seattle. He studied physiology at the University of Washington before moving to Spokane to complete medical school at the University of Washington School of Medicine’s regional campus. Outside of the hospital, he enjoys hiking, brewing coffee, spending time at the gym, and playing video games. He is excited to spend the next year in the familiar PNW before leaving for Chicago to complete his Diagnostic Radiology residency at Loyola.

Ben grew up on a small family farm in Milan, Ohio, near the shores of Lake Erie. He went on to briefly study mechanical engineering at The Ohio State University before a sports injury led him down the path toward medicine and a degree in Biology. After college, he attended the University of Toledo where he decided to pursue a career in physical medicine and rehabilitation and received his medical degree. Outside of medicine, Ben and his wife, Danica, enjoy hiking and exploring new places with a goal of reaching all 63 national parks together. Ben is an avid fan of Cleveland sports and the Ohio State Buckeyes, and he spends too much time collecting sports memorabilia. Ben and Danica look forward to making Spokane their home, caring for their new neighbors, and exploring all the region has to offer before moving to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

David was born and raised in Goshen, IN. He studied Environmental Science and Molecular Biology at Goshen College. He worked in various laboratory roles in Seattle and Portland before deciding to return to school at Western Michigan University School of Medicine. He and his wife of 5 years enjoy spending time with their 2 year old son and miniature poodle/schnauzer mix. He also likes to spend his free time cooking, traveling, hiking and playing disc golf. He is excited to return to the PNW for his internship before completing his Anesthesiology residency at Case Western MetroHealth in Cleveland, OH.

Zack is from Cedar City, Utah and went to school at the University of Utah. Zack met his wife in high school, and they current have two kids with a third on the way! Zack’s family’s dream is to settle down on property with an orchard, a large garden and some fun barnyard animals, including chickens.

When Zack is not practicing medicine, he likes to spend his time playing and watching sports, listening to sports talk radio, reading, eating all the fun food he can find and traveling with his high school sweetheart and their families. 

Darby is originally from Virginia before being recruited to Maryland to play for their Division I NCAA women’s soccer program. While at Maryland, she obtained a double degree in Kinesiology as well as Neurobiology and Physiology. She received her MD from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys soccer, skiing, hiking, and frequently competes in endurance races with the most recent being an Ironman in Tasmania! Darby will return to Baltimore next year to continue her Anesthesiology residency training at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Alyssa spent the first part of her childhood in southeastern Idaho before moving to Kennewick, Washington. She completed her undergraduate education at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and stayed in Utah for her medical education at Rocky Vista University. In her free time, Alyssa loves to mountain bike, play volleyball and pickleball, hike, cook, and spend time with her husband, Zach, and their 3-year-old lab, Millie. She is thrilled to be back in the Pacific Northwest for her internship. Following her intern year, Alyssa will head to the East Coast to complete her residency training in Dermatology at Lehigh Valley Health Network.

Erika was raised in the suburbs of Bellevue, WA. She moved to the bay area for college, where she received her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry at Santa Clara University. She attended medical school at the University of Washington and spent the first two years of her pre-clinical training at the Spokane campus. She is excited to return to Spokane as a resident physician, where she can continue to work with the wonderful medical community and explore everything Eastern Washington has to offer! In her free time, Erika enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling with friends, watercoloring, and a recent find—crocheting. After her transitional year, she is thrilled to move back to the bay area to complete her residency training in anesthesiology at UC San Francisco.
